Where To Find The Best Vacation Deals To Costa Rica
Posted by Guest Author in Costa Rica Tuesday, 26 April 2011 17:36 No Comments
If you’re one who always thinks it’s too expensive to go on great holidays but see other’s doing it all the time, you may be wondering how they do it. The first thing they do is stay flexible so when they find vacation deals to Costa Rica or other great places they can take advantage of them. There is numerous travel firms to select from such as the Thomson Holidays 2011 package holiday deals.
What they do is start researching early, very early. And they do a lot of research before booking. This is because they’re receiving emails regularly that let them know who and what are having special prices, In fact, there are companies that do this on a daily basis. Send out emails to those interested about some of the most popular holiday locations in the world.
Then, after finding out how much, they’ll research the resorts available and other facts about the trip. This is all before they’ve set their dates and actually book it. One of the main things to realize with these types of deals is that they must be flexible as to when they can go.
If their holiday dates are set in stone, then they are still very flexible about where. Even if they know the dates, they still watch for those great deals and choose the location according to their budget. Take just about any location and enter the location into your search engine with “holiday” or “vacation” on the end and you’ll get a lot of results.
Take a Costa Rica Holiday package for instance, enter the terms in the search engine, and you’ll have lots of options for signing up for notifications on price packages. Then, you start reading and keeping track of those special prices, when it gets low enough, you book it.
So as you can see, that’s how people find the money to go to great places on their holiday. They’ll simply sign up for vacation deals to Costa Rica emails, watch the prices and when it’s in their budget they book it. It’s not hard and you can save a lot of money just by reading the emails and being a little bit flexible.

When living in Costa Rica there were my favorite beach towns, here is why:
Puerto Viejo
For me this cute and bohemian town in the Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast is the best place to experience tranquility and relaxation. I bet you will never find another town where bare feet, eco friendliness, good surf breaks, kids, reggae, exotic jewelry, wild horses and ethnic restaurants co-exist. We saw so many different things and had a lot of fun each time we came here. My son was very young but he got to enjoy playing in the beach with us.
So Much To See
* Explore miles of black and white sanded beaches
* Horseback ride along the beach
* Cahuita National Park is surrounded by iguanas and sloths.
* Bird watching
So Much To Do
* See one or many of the 35 coral reef species of the area.
* Sign up for a chocolate farm tour.
* Bike around town and go to Manzanillo while stopping at markets and fun beach spots.
* Surf in one of its great breaks.

Weather
Just as the rest of Costa Rica, Puerto Viejo doesn’t fall into the categories of Wet season / dry season, here it rains all year long. But if you want to visit it the months between February/March and September/October are the least rainy.
Puerto Jimenez
This place has it all for nature lovers, in it you will find serene beaches, amazing wildlife, mangrove swamps and verdant rainforests. Adventurers will love this place too because it offers water activities such as sport fishing, tours to Corcovado National Park and other day trips around Golfo Dulce, dolphin and whale watching, snorkeling and boat trips. If you are a surfer looking for some waves it is also a fantastic gateway to Cabo Matapalo.

A Bit of History
San Jose City is most know for it’s shorter name as San Jose. As a matter of fact is actually the second capital of Costa Rica. The original capital was cartago until it was moved in 1835. Around the year 1737 this city was known as ‘Villa Nueva de la Boca del Monte del Valle de Abra’. A few years later the name was changed after the city’s patron who was Saint Joseph (San Jose in spanish).
There were many historic events that impacted Costa Rica’s culture and San Jose’s but the ones that made the most impact were the development of the coffee exports industry, the influence of the French revolution and the country’s declaration of independence from Spain. Before the independence the country was split into two: the Democrats, who wanted the country to remain a Spanish territory, and the Republicans, who wanted to centralize the power and make Costa Rica an independent country. In 1823 there was a which ended up being won by Republicans as a result the capital was moved to San Jose and Costa Rica became an independent country.
Did You Know?
San Jose is located in the Central Valley and is surrounded by large forested mountain ranges and some volcanoes. There are also green savannas, and working coffee plantations.

This region is most commonly known as the Osa Pennsula. Some of the things you will find in it are: the highest mountain in Costa Rica, Mount Chirripo; Pavones, one of the longest left surf breaks in world; and Corcovado National Park, one of the most biologically diverse places in the world. You will find the Osa Peninsula extending from Playa Dominical, south to Panama. Nature lovers go crazy here because this is where you can find the largest portion of preserved land in national parks of Costa Rica.
What places can I visit in the Osa Peninsula?
Dominical
This is a laid back town where you will be able to experience walking barefoot or swinging in a hammock in this cool seaside village. This is a popular surf spot but if you want to do it be careful. The strong wave currents are not for beginners. Plus, this is one of the best places to see whales and dolphins.
Drake Bay
This is a secluded spot of Costa Rica popular among nature lovers and eco-tourists. You can only access it by plane or by boat and sometimes by taxi. Don’t be surprised by how remote this place is because locals want to preserve the natural environment of a natural world.
Puerto Jimenez
This is also a secluded place of the Osa Peninsula, Puerto Jimenez. In it you will find dirt roads, well developed tourist infrastructure, luxurious hotels and variety of restaurants.
Pavones
It is famous for its left point break among surfers. It is one of the longest surf breaks in the world and is the pride of Pavones. It has been recorded to last up to three minutes on a slow, south swell.
What are the most popular National Parks?
Ballena National Marine Park
This water park is named after the humpback whales that migrate here from August to October and December to April and give a brautiful spectacle. It also welcomes the Olive Ridley turtle as they come ashore to nest along more than nine miles of coast that can be enjoyed by tourists.
