Orlando is recognized for several things. One of those things are outstanding resort areas like Walt Disney World and each of the park lands that accompany Disney, such as, Islands of Adventure and Downtown Disney. In addition to all the local restaurants and golfing. Although these areas are great and can make for wonderful vacation memories, there is one park that is often overlooked by visitors to the Orlando area. This fabulous park, that many never seem to find time to visit is SeaWorld.
SeaWorld is made up of wonderful family entertainment, as well as wonderful educational experiences. There are many attractions and shows to take in on your visit to SeaWorld, and often times visitors find they need to return a second day just to fit everything in.SeaWorld is owned by the owners and operators of Busch Gardens, therefore you can expect nothing but the most thrilling rides in the world. From the spectacular roller coaster to the wonderful water coaster, you will have yourself hours of excitement and fun. In addition to the exciting thrill rides, SeaWorld also has some of the best animal attractions and exhibits found anywhere on the globe.
SeaWorld is of course home to the most famous killer whale in the world, Shamu and her family. The animals are of course the main attraction and SeaWorld spares no expense treating the animals like the stars that they are. They are well taken care of and treated like members of the family. The Shamu show and the walrus and seal show are probably two of the highlights of any trip to the park. The penguin house and the water ski show are also great attractions.
One of my personal favorite attractions at SeaWorld is the arctic expedition. There are polar bears that live in frigid waters in an exhibit that looks a lot like their native northern habitat. SeaWorld also gives you a glimpse of a rarely seen Narwhal, an animal that most people would never have a chance to see in the wild.
The park is an excellent place to see, particularly for those adolescent oceanographers that may be in the household. It truly is a discovering experience masked as an amusement park. It will make up a day that the entire family will remember for years to come. You are able to buy passes that include both parks, Busch Gardens and SeaWorld for a specialized cost. It is just a short trip from Tampa to Orlando. There are shuttles available in both directions.
